SLIPPING
The yard has a slipway capable of handling a vessel up to a maximum
of 60' , with draft up to 9'.This is dependent on tides and heights.
Vessels
are slipped on to conventional cradles and winched up clear of the
water. The cradles are steerable to enable the craft to be blocked
off anywhere in the yard or main workshops.
The yard is concrete surfaced, keelbolts can be drawn over a special
pit, rudders etc. can be dropped in the same manner.
Masts, according to size and height are either handled by the yard's
derrick or teleporter, or in some instances by a hired crane.
Multihulls can be easily managed
.
